Interlibrary Loan

Patrons residing in Maplewood with a Maplewood Public Library card in good standing may request items through Interlibrary Loan.

If you are searching for an item that does not appear in the Municipal Library Consortium's catalog, you may request it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). For example, you might request a physical copy of a book that is only available electronically, or you might request a Large Print edition.

We will submit the request(s) to a group of libraries outside of the Municipal Library Consortium and will notify you once we receive the item. (We will also notify you if we cannot get it. Sometimes an item may not be available.) When we receive the ILL item, the lending library will provide a due date. If you would like us to renew the item, we will contact the lending library. Renewals are up to the discretion of the lending library. You may check out up to three ILL items at one time.

To make a request, you may call the library at 314-781-7323 or use the form found here.
