To continue the mission of the Library and participate in mutual aid initiatives in Maplewood and beyond, we are currently accepting the following items:

If we are unable to add donated books to our collection, they may be sold, given away, or recycled. If you want items that won't be added to our collection returned to you, please inform staff at time of donation. If you would like a book plate placed in donated materials to acknowledge your donation, please inform staff at time of donation.
- New books, DVDs, etc. to be circulated
Please send adult items attn: Andréa and juvenile/young adult items attn: Kim. If you would like a book plate placed in donated materials to acknowledge your donation, please inform staff at time of donation.
- New, unopened art supplies for youth programs and take-and-make crafts
If you are interested in donating in this way, please reach out to Kim for details by calling 314-781-7323 or emailing email@example.com.
Maplewood Public Library has partnered with other St. Louis area libraries to provide reference services to incarcerated individuals. Due to the high volume of requests received and the cost of postage, stamps would help us continue this much needed service.
- Menstrual products
The Library offers free period products to visitors in an attempt to increase period equity.
- Non-perishable and shelf-stable food
The Library has a mini food pantry on our property. Food items may be placed directly in pantry or delivered to Library staff. Personal hygiene items are also accepted.
Monetary donations can be made by cash, check, or debit/credit cards. Please make checks payable to Maplewood Public Library.
The sale of Maplewood Public Library merchandise also assists with furthering our programs and initiatives. See below for information on available items!
