Maplewood Public Library is located at 7550 Lohmeyer Ave. in Maplewood, Missouri. We are one block north Maplewood City Hall, and directly next to Maplewood Richmond Heights High School, in the white stone building that used to be the Maplewood Municipal Pool building. Lohmeyer is most easily reached from Bredell, off of Manchester, or you can drive through the City Hall driveway, and go past the Maplewood Family Aquatic Center to Lohmeyer.
There is street parking available directly in front of the Library, along with a small side lot on the west side of the building with handicapped parking and an access ramp. You can also park in the Maplewood Family Aquatic Center's parking lot and enter through the Library's lower level. Just press the buzzer and staff will let you in!
Any resident of Maplewood can get a free library card. Just bring in a picture ID and proof of current address (driver’s license, utility bill, check book, etc.) Residents of St. Louis City or County and St. Charles City-County can also get a Maplewood card through our cooperative lending program. If you live within the boundaries of any of our Missouri Evergreen Consortium partners, you need to get a library card through your home library. You may use that card at any of the reciprocal borrowing libraries (listed at the bottom of the member libraries page), including Maplewood! If you live within the boundaries of any of our Municipal Library Consortium partners, we can issue you a library card for your home library, and you can use it Maplewood Library plus all other Municipal Library Consortium libraries.
Business owners in Maplewood can still get a free card even if they don’t live in any of our cooperating library districts by providing proof of ownership. For anyone else, a non-resident library card is available for a $20 annual fee.

If you cannot find what you are looking for in the Missouri Evergreen catalog, Maplewood Public Library cardholders in good standing can request titles through Interlibrary Loan. You can do this by calling the library or completing this form.

During business hours, materials can be returned to the indoor book drop at the main Service Desk. We ask that you do not leave materials on top of the Service Desk if a staff member is not present.
There is an outdoor book drop box on the sidewalk on the west end of the building (to your right as you face the front door). You can return any items in the box at any time.
Finally, you can return your books at any library in the St. Louis area, and they will get back to us!
Most items do not incur fines. The exceptions are as follows: Interlibary Loan and Library of Things items incur fines of 5¢ per day; telescopes and juvenile read-along audiobooks incur fines of $5 per day.
We have a one-day grace period when a fine will not be charged to your account.

We do! Search the Google or Apple app stores for "Missouri Evergreen Discovery." You will be prompted to login using your library barcode number and pin. If you have not set a pin, it should be the last four digits of the telephone number we have on file for you. If you have trouble logging in, just reach out to staff!
The Maplewood Public Library offers free public access computers. If you have a valid library card from Maplewood Public Library or one of our Municipal Library Consortium partners, you may use it to access our public-access computers. If you do not have a valid library card, you may receive a single-use guest pass from staff at the main Service Desk.
Patrons under 18 need prior permission from a parent or guardian in order to use the Library computers.
We offer printing and copying services for a small fee. Print jobs from the Library's public use computers must be released by Library staff. We do not offer wireless printing. You may email print jobs to maplewoodpubliclibrary@gmail.com and staff will print them for you, or you can print directly from a flash drive.
Black and white copies are 10¢ one-sided, 15¢ double-sided. We offer up to $5 worth of free black and white copies per day.
Color copies are 25¢ one-sided, 50¢ double-sided. All color copies must be paid for.

The Maplewood Public Library offers free wireless access to our patrons with WIFI-enabled devices. Patrons can access the internet anywhere in the library. No password is required.
The Library public printer is not available via the wireless connection. If you need to print, ask one of the staff members to use a public work station. You may also save your document to a flash drive and plug it directly into the public printer, or email an attachment to maplewoodpubliclibrary@gmail.com.
You can use your Maplewood Public Library card at any of our Municipal Library Consortium partners. You can also use your card at any of the reciprocal borrowing libraries listed at the bottom of this page. (You can request items from the other libraries on the list, but you cannot use your card at their locations.)
As a Maplewood resident, you are also eligible to get a library card from St. Louis City and County library systems and the St. Charles City-County Library.

The Library does not provide test proctoring services.
We do not have a notary on staff, but the City of Maplewood (located on Manchester across the pool parking lot from the Library) offers free notary services. Service is dependent on staff availability, so it is recommended that you call first: 314-645-3600.
